Pomorski Kongres Pamięci Narodowej w Gdańsku okazał się wielkim sukcesem IPN-u.

To wielkie święto miłośników historii – Pomorski Kongres Pamięci Narodowej – odbyło się w dniach 20–21 listopada 2024 r. w Centrum Wystawienniczo – Kongresowym AMBEREXPO w Gdańsku. Z wielu atrakcji przygotowanych dla pasjonatów historii skorzystało ponad 5 tysięcy osób, w tym 4200 dzieci i młodzieży.

Polish Sue uczestniczyła w Pomorskim Kongresie Pamięci Narodowej, gdzie wzięliśmy udział w wielu seminariach, pokazach filmowych, dyskusjach  i odczytach naukowych.   

Podczas drugiego dnia Pomorskiego Kongresu Pamięci Narodowej licznie zgromadzeni goście mogli uczestniczyć w pokazach filmów, rozmowach o książkach i panelach dyskusyjnych, w czasie których rozmawialiśmy m.in. o tym, jak uczyć, żeby zainteresować historią młode pokolenie oraz przybliżyliśmy pomorskie wątki w Muzeum Żołnierzy Wyklętych i Więźniów Politycznych PRL. 

Mowa końcowa kongresu – wygłoszona przez Profesora Karola Polejowskiego, zastępcy Prezesa IPN – zapadła nam szczególnie w pamięć, gdyż doskonale podsumował on osiągnięcia kongresu.  Publikujemy jej obszerne  fragmenty – na linku:

Kongres zwieńczył koncert przedwojennych szlagierów w wykonaniu Warszawskiej Orkiestry Sentymentalnej i Polskiej Filharmonii Kameralnej Sopot pod dyrekcją Szymona Morusa – „Oczy Zmruż”.

The Pomeranian Congress of National Remembrance in Gdańsk – a great success of the National Institute of Remembrance ! 

A great celebration of history lovers – the Pomeranian Congress of National Remembrance – took place on November 20-21, 2024 at the AMBEREXPO Exhibition and Congress Center in Gdańsk. Over 5,000 people, including 4,200 children and young people, took advantage of the many attractions prepared for history enthusiasts. 

Polish Sue participated in the Pomeranian Congress of National Remembrance, where we took part in many seminars, film screenings, discussions and scientific lectures. 

During the second day of the Pomeranian Congress of National Remembrance, numerous guests could participate in film screenings, book talks and discussion panels, during which we talked, among other things, about how to teach to interest the young generation in history and we brought closer Pomeranian threads at the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People’s Republic. 

The speech at the end of the congress – delivered by Professor Karol Polejowski – the deputy President of the Institute of National Remembrance was particularly memorable and he summarised the Congress achievements extremely well.

The congress concluded with a concert of pre-war hits performed by the Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra and the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot conducted by Szymon Morus – “Oczy Zmruż”.
