To już druga edycja Londyńskiej Parady Noworocznej z udziałem Polaków.  

Po raz pierwszy grupa około stu osób reprezentowała Polskę w 38ej London’s New Year’s Day Parade 1 stycznia 2024 roku i na zawsze zapisała się w historię tego wielkiego wydarzenia. W 2025 roku organizacja “Poles in LNYDP Association” – organizator polskiej sekcji parady, weżmie w niej udział po raz drugi.  

Polish Sue jest patronem medialnym wydarzenia. Zapraszamy więc na tę niezwykłą paradę z polskim posmakiem w imieniu organizatorów.

Pomysł udziału Polaków w tym wielkim wydarzeniu zrodził się z inicjatywy Sebastiana Wopińskiego dyrektora Polskiej Sobotniej Szkoły im. Dywizjonu 303 w Londynie, który wraz z Tomaszem Wiśniewskim, prezydentem Worcestershire Polish Association w 2018 roku założyli w tym celu organizację “Poles in LNYDP Association”, a tworzą ją właśnie Polska Sobotnia Szkoła im Dywizjonu 303 w Londynie (303 Squadron Polish Saturday School) oraz Worcestershire Polish Association.

 Wielka Londyńska Parada Noworoczna (LNYDP) maszeruje już od 1987 roku, kiedy to w pierwszej edycji wydarzenia wzięło udział 2000 osób. Przez kolejne lata popularność parady szybko rosła, aby w ostatniej edycji w styczniu 2023 roku osiągnąć oglądalność ponad 500 mln ludzi przed telewizorami na całym świecie i ponad 500 tys. na ulicach Londynu. Jest to zdecydowanie jedna z największych parad ulicznych na świecie, którą relacjonuje ponad 15 tys. akredytowanych mediów! 

Pandemia Covid 19 i w związku z tym zawieszenie kolejnych edycji przesunęło w czasie przygotowania do pierwszego w historii udziału Polaków w tym jakże ważnym wydarzeniu.

Organizatorzy nie poddali się a co za tym idzie ostatecznie 1 stycznia 2024 roku w wyniku ich wytrwałości i budowania mocnej relacji z Brytyjczykami, a w szczególności biurem burmistrza Londynu, Polacy pierwszy raz obok kilkudziesięciu innych narodów przeszli trasę od Green Park, przez Trafalgar Square aż do Pałacu Westminsterskiego. 

Od tego momentu Polska grupa “Poles in LNYDP Association” bierze udział w paradzie co roku, aby reprezentować Polaków w tym wielkim i ważnym wydarzeniu. Hasłem przewodnim grupy jest “Let’s Celebrate Together” na znak wzorowej współpracy wszystkich środowisk polonijnych ze sobą oraz z innymi narodowościami mieszkającymi w Londynie. Polacy w paradzie idą pod jednym wspólnym symbolem: biało-czerwonej flagi.

Polska grupa rośnie i tym razem będzie liczyła ponad 200 uczestników, w tym reprezentantów szkół polonijnych i organizacji polonijnych, zespołów folklorystycznych, historycznych pojazdów oraz postaci słynnych Polaków i związanymi z nimi wydarzeń. W tym roku na platformie “Słynni Polacy” znowu zobaczymy postać słynnego Polaka, który w sposób szczególny zapisał sie w historii świata. Kto nią będzie ?

For the second time, Poles will march in the LONDON NEW YEAR’S PARADE! 

This is the second edition of the London New Year’s Parade with Polish section and performances. 

For the first time, a group of about a hundred people represented Poland in the 38th London New Year’s Parade on January 1, 2024 and has always been remembered in the history of this great event. In 2025, the organisation “Poles in the LNYDP Association” took part in it for the second time.

Polish Sue is the media patron of the event.   We would like invite you to the Parade with the Polish flavour on behalf of the organizer.  

The idea of ​​Poles participating in this great event was born from the initiative of Sebastian Wopiński, director of the Polish Saturday School named after the 303 Squadron in London, who, together with Tomasz Wiśniewski, president of the Worcestershire Polish Association, in 2018 banned the “Poles in LNYDP Association” in this purpose body, and it was run by the Polish Saturday School named after the 303 Squadron (303 Squadron Polish Saturday School) and the Polish Association in Worcestershire.

The Great London New Year’s Parade (LNYDP) has been marching since 1987, when 2,000 people performed in the first edition of the event. Over the following years, the distribution of the parade grew rapidly, and in the last edition, in 2023, it took advantage of the availability of over 500 million people in front of televisions around the world and over 500,000 on the route of London. It is definitely one of the remaining street parades in the world, which is covered by over 15,000 accredited media! 

The Covid 19 pandemic and the suspension of the edition were postponed during the preparations for the first ever competition of Poles in this important event. 

The organizers did not give up and what happened on January 1, 2024 as a result of their lasting and strong relationship with the British, and in the program of the Mayor of London’s offices, Poland, for the first time alongside other nations, walked the route from Green Park, through Trafalgar Square to the Palace of Westminster. 

Since then, the Polish group “Poles in the LNYDP Association” has taken part in the parade every year to represent Poles in this great and important event. The group’s motto is “Let’s Celebrate Together” as a sign of the exemplary cooperation of all Polish users with each other and with other nationalities living in London. Poles march in the parade under one common symbol: the white and red flag.

The Polish group was established and this time it will have over 200 participants, including representatives of Polish schools and Polish organizations, a folk group, characteristic vehicles and a figure creating Poles and figures working with them. This year, a credible figure of a Pole will once again appear on “Famous Poles”, who is making a special mark on world history. Who will it be?
