We witnessed a momentous day in Polish history.

On August 6, 2025, Dr. Karol Nawrocki was sworn in as President of the Republic of Poland.

In the very first words of his speech, he uttered a sentence that touched the hearts of many Poles – both at home and abroad:

“It’s worth being a Pole.”

These words – deeply rooted in the tradition of independence thought – evoked the legacy of the Fathers of Independence.

“We must prove to all of Poland and the entire world that it’s worth being Polish. The Fathers of Independence teach us this. It’s hard to disagree with Roman Dmowski, who said that we are Poles and have Polish responsibilities, and with Józef Piłsudski, who said that independence is not granted once and for all. Today we feel this more than ever,”

– said President Nawrocki in his address to the National Assembly.

Numerous representatives of state authorities, the military, the clergy, and the Polish diaspora – including delegations from the USA, Australia, and the UK – attended the ceremony.

Among those present were Professors Andrzej Zybertowicz and Mieczysław Ryba, Deputy Presidents of the Institute of National Remembrance: Dr. Karol Polejowski and Dr. Mateusz Szpytma, as well as the new president’s closest associates, including Dr. Agnieszka Jędrzak – currently a minister in the Chancellery of the President.

A special guest at the ceremony was Anna Maria Anders, daughter of General Władysław Anders, who had supported Karol Nawrocki for years, seeing him as a continuator of the ideals of patriotism and responsibility for the national community.

Will President Nawrocki become a savior for a lost and disoriented Poland – just as General Anders led Poles out of the “inhuman land”? This is a question many are asking themselves today.

A solemn Mass was celebrated at the Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist for the intentions of the Homeland and the new President.

This date – August 6th – is also the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the Catholic Church. This symbolism will certainly not escape the attention of observers of Dr. Nawrocki’s presidency, known for his deep faith and commitment to Christian values.

The investiture ceremony of the President as Grand Master of the Order of the White Eagle and the Order of Polonia Restituta took place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

“The Order of the White Eagle and the Order of Polonia Restituta are a bridge running along the red and blue ribbons between the First and Third Polish Republics. What unites the Dames and Knights of both orders is a sense of absolute belonging and the priority of fulfilling one’s duties towards the National Community,”

– said the President of the Republic of Poland.

At the Presidential Palace, Karol Nawrocki was welcomed by the outgoing presidential couple – Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda. The symbolic transfer of power took place with the solemnity and majesty of state ceremony.

In the evening, on the anniversary of the departure of the First Cadre Company from Oleandry, Dr. Nawrocki assumed command of the Polish Armed Forces.

In his address to the soldiers, he emphasized the unity of the Polish Army:

“Today, your only sign and symbol is the White Eagle and the white-and-red flag. And your president—I promise you this—will never say ‘forward,’ I will always say ‘follow me.’

Dr. Karol Nawrocki served as President of the Institute of National Remembrance from 2021 to 2025.

His term was a period of intense reminders to the world of Polish heroes. The Polish Sue organization proudly recalls that, thanks to the involvement of the then-President of the Institute of National Remembrance, the “ORP Błyskawica Days” events in the UK—dedicated to the Polish Armed Forces in the West—were held under the Institute’s dual honorary patronage from 2023 to 2025.

We look forward to the commencement of this five-year presidency with great hope and pride.

We wish the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, strength, wisdom, and courage—as well as God’s blessing—in his service to his country.

„Warto być Polakiem” – Karol Nawrocki zaprzysiężony na Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej

Byliśmy świadkami wielkiego dnia w polskiej historii.

6 sierpnia 2025 roku dr Karol Nawrocki został zaprzysiężony na Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej.

Już w pierwszych słowach swojego wystąpienia wypowiedział zdanie, które wstrząsnęło sercami wielu Polaków – zarówno w kraju, jak i na emigracji:

„Warto być Polakiem”.

Słowa te – głęboko zakorzenione w tradycji myśli niepodległościowej – nawiązały do dziedzictwa Ojców Niepodległości. –

„Musimy całej Polsce i całemu światu udowodnić, że warto być Polakiem. Uczą nas tego Ojcowie Niepodległości. Trudno nie zgodzić się z Romanem Dmowskim, który mówił, że jesteśmy Polakami i mamy obowiązki polskie, a także z Józefem Piłsudskim, że niepodległość nie jest nam dana raz na zawsze. Dzisiaj czujemy to bardziej niż kiedykolwiek”

– powiedział prezydent Nawrocki w orędziu przed Zgromadzeniem Narodowym.

W uroczystość i wzięli udział liczni przedstawiciele władz państwowych, wojska, duchowieństwa, a także Polonii – w tym delegacje z USA, Australii i Wielkiej Brytanii.

Obecni byli m.in. profesorowie Andrzej Zybertowicz i Mieczysław Ryba, zastępcy prezesa IPN: dr hab. Karol Polejowski oraz dr Mateusz Szpytma, a także najbliżsi współpracownicy nowego prezydenta, w tym dr Agnieszka Jędrzak – od dziś minister w Kancelarii Prezydenta.

Szczególnym gościem uroczystości była Anna Maria Anders, córka generała Władysława Andersa, która od lat wspierała Karola Nawrockiego, widząc w nim kontynuatora idei patriotyzmu i odpowiedzialności za wspólnotę narodową.

Czy prezydent Nawrocki stanie się wybawicielem dla zagubionej i zdezorientowanej Polski – tak jak generał Anders wyprowadził Polaków z „ziemi nieludzkiej”? To pytanie, które stawia sobie dziś wielu.

W Bazylice Archikatedralnej św. Jana Chrzciciela odprawiona została uroczysta Msza Święta w intencji Ojczyzny i nowego Prezydenta. Data ta – 6 sierpnia – to również święto Przemienienia Pańskiego w Kościele katolickim. Symbolika ta z pewnością nie umknie uwadze obserwatorów prezydentury dr Nawrockiego, znanego z głębokiej wiary i przywiązania do chrześcijańskich wartości.

Na Zamku Królewskim w Warszawie odbyła się uroczystość inwestytury Prezydenta na Wielkiego Mistrza Orderu Orła Białego oraz Orderu Odrodzenia Polski.

„Order Orła Białego i Order Odrodzenia Polski są biegnącym wzdłuż czerwonej i błękitnej wstęgi pomostem między I i III Rzeczpospolitą. Tym, co łączy Damy i Kawalerów obu odznaczeń, jest poczucie absolutnej przynależności i pierwszeństwo wykonywania swoich obowiązków wobec Wspólnoty Narodowej”

– powiedział prezydent RP.

W Pałacu Prezydenckim Karola Nawrockiego powitała ustępująca para prezydencka – Andrzej Duda wraz z małżonką Agatą Kornhauser-Dudą. Symboliczne przekazanie władzy odbyło się z zachowaniem powagi i majestatu państwowego ceremoniału.

Wieczorem, w rocznicę wymarszu Pierwszej Kompanii Kadrowej z Oleandrów – dr Nawrocki objął zwierzchnictwo nad Siłami Zbrojnymi RP.

W przemówieniu do żołnierzy podkreślił jedność Wojska Polskiego:

„Dziś jedynym waszym znakiem i symbolem jest Orzeł Biały i biało-czerwona flaga. A wasz prezydent – obiecuję to – nigdy nie powie do was ‘naprzód’, zawsze będę mówił: ‘za mną’. Byłem, jestem i będę z wami”

– zadeklarował.

Dr Karol Nawrocki pełnił funkcję prezesa Instytutu Pamięci Narodowej w latach 2021–2025. Jego kadencja była okresem intensywnego przypominania światu o polskich bohaterach. Organizacja Polish Sue z dumą przypomina, że dzięki zaangażowaniu ówczesnego prezesa IPN, w latach 2023–2025 wydarzenia „Dni ORP Błyskawica” w Wielkiej Brytanii – poświęcone Polskim Siłom Zbrojnym na Zachodzie – odbywały się pod podwójnym honorowym patronatem Instytutu.

Z ogromną nadzieją i dumą patrzymy na rozpoczęcie tej pięcioletniej prezydentury.

Życzymy Prezydentowi RP Karolowi Nawrockiemu siły, mądrości i odwagi – a także błogosławieństwa Bożego – w służbie Ojczyźnie.
