The conference opened with a special ceremony – two employees of the Polish Navy Museum, Director Tomasz Miegoń and Dr. Marcin Kłodziński, received Bronze Crosses of Merit from the Pomeranian Voivode Beata Rutkiewicz. Congratulations!

The Polish Sue Association, which has been actively involved in popularizing knowledge about the history of the Polish Navy for years and preserving the memory of sailors and their service at sea, was also among the invited guests.

Polish Sue President – Iwona Golińska attended The Conference at MMW.

The Polish Sue Association organizes its own annual historical event related to the ORP Błyskawica Days, which have become a permanent fixture in the calendar of historical and maritime events in the UK.

This year was its third edition. The Naval Museum in Gdynia is our partner in this event.

Konferencja naukowa „Wojna i morze” w Muzeum Marynarki Wojennej w Gdyni

W Muzeum Marynarki Wojennej w Gdyni trwa kolejna edycja prestiżowej konferencji naukowej „Wojna i morze”, która w tym roku poświęcona jest zagadnieniu statusu międzynarodowego w kontekście działań morskich i wojennych.

Wydarzenie gromadzi wybitnych historyków, badaczy i pasjonatów historii morskiej, a także przedstawicieli instytucji naukowych i organizacji społecznych.

Konferencja została otworzona specjalną uroczystością – dwóch pracowników muzeum Marynarki Wojennej, dyrektor Tomasz Miegoń oraz dr Marcin Kłodziński otrzymało z rąk Wojewody Pomorskiej Beaty Rutkiewicz, Brązowe Krzyże Zasługi. Gratulujemy!

Dyrektor MMW – Tomasz Miegoń oraz dr Marcin Kłodziński zostali odznaczeni Brązowymi Krzyżami Zasługi.

dr. Łukasz Lutostański – dyplomata i były Konsul RP w Edynburgu był prelegentem Konferencji.

Wśród zaproszonych gości znalazło się również Stowarzyszenie Polish Sue, które od lat aktywnie uczestniczy w popularyzowaniu wiedzy o historii polskiej Marynarki Wojennej oraz pielęgnuje pamięć o marynarzach i ich służbie na morzu.

Polish Sue organizuje corocznie własne wydarzenie historyczne związane z obchodami Dni ORP Błyskawica, które na stałe wpisały się w kalendarz wydarzeń historycznych i morskich w Wielkiej Brytanii.
