The year 2025 marks a special anniversary – the 100th anniversary of the School of Eaglets in Dęblin, today known as the Polish Military Academy. This is where Polish military pilots have been formed for generations, and the traditions of this alma mater are inextricably linked with the history of Polish air wings and the fight for freedom.

On the eve of the Airmen’s Days, representatives of the Polish Sue Association had the honor of visiting the Air Force Museum in Dęblin. It was a special moment for us – we were able to express our respect and gratitude for preserving the heritage of Polish military aviation.

During the visit, we personally presented a commemorative diploma to the Museum’s director, Monika Żmuda, in recognition of her immense commitment to promoting the history and memory of Polish airmen. This gesture symbolizes our gratitude for our ongoing cooperation and the Museum’s openness to joint initiatives.

It was also an opportunity for reflection and remembrance – we lit a candle at the plaques dedicated to Polish pilots and paid tribute to them. On behalf of the Polish Air Force, Iwona Golińska, President of the Association, represented the voice and memory of the Polish Air Force.

It is impossible not to emphasize the Museum’s enormous contribution to the anniversary celebrations. A unique temporary exhibition has been prepared for this occasion:

“Dęblin Alma Mater – 100 Years of History and Tradition of the School of Eaglets (1925–2025)”,

which showcases the school’s rich heritage – documents, photographs, uniforms, personal memorabilia of pilots, and aircraft models.

The exhibition impressively tells the story of 100 years of history and tradition of Polish military aviation.

We congratulate Director Monika Żmuda on this beautiful and professional project, which not only contributes to preserving memory but also serves as an inspiration for future generations of pilots and history enthusiasts.

The Polish Sue Association’s collaboration with the Air Force Museum has been ongoing for several years and has resulted in valuable projects. In May 2025, during the third edition of the ORP Błyskawica Days at the Battle of Britain Bunker in London, we had the honor of collaborating with Museum representatives, and this event became another step in our joint mission to cultivate the memory of Polish pilots and sailors.

2025 is a special year for Dęblin and the entire aviation community in Poland and abroad. The 100th anniversary of the Eaglets’ School demonstrates the immense importance of remembering the tradition and history of aviation.

For us, the Polish Sue Association, the opportunity to collaborate with the Air Force Museum in Dęblin is both an honor and a commitment.

We, once again congratulate Director Monika Żmuda, on the anniversary exhibition and thank her for her openness and for collaborating with her in cultivating the memory of the heroes of Polish aviation.

Polish Sue w Muzeum Sił Powietrznych w Dęblinie – wizyta podczas obchodów 100-lecia Szkoły Orląt

W roku 2025 przypada niezwykły jubileusz – 100-lecie Szkoły Orląt w Dęblinie, dziś znanej jako Lotnicza Akademia Wojskowa. To tu od pokoleń kształtują się polscy lotnicy wojskowi, a tradycje tej Alma Mater nierozerwalnie związane są z historią polskich skrzydeł i walką o wolność.

W przeddzień Dni Lotnika przedstawiciele Stowarzyszenia Polish Sue mieli zaszczyt odwiedzić Muzeum Sił Powietrznych w Dęblinie. Była to dla nas szczególna chwila – mogliśmy wyrazić nasz szacunek i wdzięczność za pielęgnowanie dziedzictwa polskiego lotnictwa wojskowego.

Podczas wizyty osobiście wręczyliśmy dyplom pamiątkowy dyrektor Muzeum, pani Monice Żmudzie, w uznaniu za jej ogromne zaangażowanie w upowszechnianie historii i pamięci o polskich lotnikach.

Ten gest symbolizuje naszą wdzięczność za dotychczasową współpracę i otwartość Muzeum na wspólne inicjatywy.

Była to także okazja do chwili refleksji i pamięci – zapaliliśmy znicz przy tablicach poświęconych polskim lotnikom i oddaliśmy im hołd.

W imieniu Polish Sue głos i pamięć reprezentowała Iwona Golińska – prezes Stowarzyszenia.

Nie sposób nie podkreślić wkładu Muzeum w obchody jubileuszu. Z tej okazji przygotowano wyjątkową wystawę czasową:

„Dęblińska Alma Mater – sto lat historii i tradycji Szkoły Orląt (1925–2025)”, która prezentuje bogate dziedzictwo szkoły – dokumenty, fotografie, mundury, pamiątki osobiste pilotów, a także modele samolotów.

Ekspozycja w imponujący sposób opowiada o stu latach historii i tradycji polskiego lotnictwa wojskowego.

Gratulujemy pani dyrektor Monice Żmudzie tej pięknej i profesjonalnej realizacji, która stanowi nie tylko wkład w zachowanie pamięci, ale także inspirację dla przyszłych pokoleń lotników i pasjonatów historii.

Współpraca Polish Sue z Muzeum Sił Powietrznych trwa już od kilku lat i owocuje wartościowymi projektami.

W maju 2025 roku, podczas III edycji Dni ORP Błyskawica w Battle of Britain Bunker w Londynie, mieliśmy zaszczyt  współpracować  z przedstawicielami Muzeum, a wydarzenie to stało się kolejnym etapem naszej wspólnej misji kultywowania pamięci o polskich lotnikach i marynarzach.

Rok 2025 jest wyjątkowym czasem zarówno dla Dęblina, jak i dla całego środowiska lotniczego w Polsce i poza jej granicami. Jubileusz 100-lecia Szkoły Orląt pokazuje, jak ogromne znaczenie ma pamięć o tradycji i historii lotnictwa.

Dla nas, Stowarzyszenia Polish Sue, możliwość współpracy z Muzeum Sił Powietrznych w Dęblinie jest zaszczytem i zobowiązaniem.

Pani dyrektor Monice Żmudzie raz jeszcze serdecznie gratulujemy jubileuszowej wystawy oraz dziękujemy za otwartość i wspólne pielęgnowanie pamięci o bohaterach polskiego lotnictwa.
