On November 11, 2025, during the central celebrations of National Independence Day, the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, delivered a moving speech in which he recalled the sacrifices of past generations, the importance of national and Christian values, and the responsibility of contemporary Poles for the freedom and sovereignty of their homeland.
The President emphasized that thirty generations had built the power of the Republic of Poland before it lost its independence under the pressure of three occupying powers, and that the next five generations of Poles had fought and worked to regain it. He also recalled the Fathers of Independence – Józef Piłsudski, Roman Dmowski, Wincenty Witos, Wojciech Korfanty, Ignacy Daszyński, and Ignacy Paderewski – who, despite their differences, were able to join forces for a common goal.
“The independence that came then was, on the one hand, a great joy, and on the other, a tremendous responsibility,” said the President, pointing out that freedom today also requires care, courage, and unity.
In his speech, Karol Nawrocki noted that in the 20th century, Poland was independent for only 31 years, and for the remaining time it was under partition, occupation, or Soviet influence. From this experience, he emphasized, stems the obligation to protect freedom and sovereignty in the 21st century.
The President appealed for fidelity to national values and the rejection of “foreign ideologies” that attempt to replace the Christian and patriotic foundations of Polish culture. He also expressed support for Poland’s membership in the European Union, emphasizing, however, that “Poland first, Poles first.”
Later in his speech, the President emphasized that independence also means responsibility for the country’s development and social justice – access to healthcare, fair prices, safety, and equal opportunities for all.
“Our independence also means the ability and capacity to seize the opportunities presented to us by modern times,” he emphasized, pointing to Poland’s economic success since 1989 and the country’s growing role in the international arena.
Addressing the soldiers, officers, and generals of the Polish Army, the President expressed gratitude for their daily service and emphasized that “Polish soldiers and officers are sacred,” and that the nation stands behind them with pride and gratitude.
Concluding, the President expressed his belief that more unites Poles than divides them, and that shared memory and love for their homeland will be a source of national unity and strength.

Przemówienie Prezydenta RP Karola Nawrockiego z okazji 107. rocznicy odzyskania przez Polskę Niepodległości

W dniu 11 listopada 2025 roku, podczas centralnych obchodów Narodowego Święta Niepodległości, Prezydent Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej Karol Nawrocki wygłosił poruszające przemówienie, w którym przypomniał o ofierze minionych pokoleń, znaczeniu wartości narodowych i chrześcijańskich oraz o odpowiedzialności współczesnych Polaków za wolność i suwerenność Ojczyzny.
Prezydent podkreślił, że trzydzieści pokoleń budowało potęgę Rzeczypospolitej, zanim utraciła ona niepodległość pod naporem trzech zaborców, a następne pięć pokoleń Polaków walczyło i pracowało, by ją odzyskać. Przypomniał także Ojców Niepodległości – Józefa Piłsudskiego, Romana Dmowskiego, Wincentego Witosa, Wojciecha Korfantego, Ignacego Daszyńskiego i Ignacego Paderewskiego – którzy, mimo różnic, potrafili połączyć siły w imię wspólnego celu.
„Niepodległość, która wówczas przyszła, była z jednej strony wielką radością, a z drugiej ogromną odpowiedzialnością” – mówił Prezydent, wskazując, że także dziś wolność wymaga troski, odwagi i jedności.
W swoim wystąpieniu Karol Nawrocki zwrócił uwagę, że w XX wieku Polska była niepodległa jedynie przez 31 lat, a przez pozostały czas znajdowała się pod zaborami, okupacją lub sowieckim wpływem. Z tego doświadczenia płynie – jak podkreślił – obowiązek ochrony wolności i suwerenności w XXI wieku.
Prezydent zaapelował o wierność narodowym wartościom i o odrzucenie „obcych ideologii”, które próbują zastąpić chrześcijańskie i patriotyczne fundamenty polskiej kultury. Jednocześnie wyraził wsparcie dla polskiego członkostwa w Unii Europejskiej, akcentując jednak, że „po pierwsze Polska, po pierwsze Polacy”.
W dalszej części wystąpienia Prezydent zaznaczył, że niepodległość to także odpowiedzialność za rozwój kraju i sprawiedliwość społeczną – dostęp do lekarzy, uczciwe ceny, bezpieczeństwo i równe szanse dla wszystkich.
„Nasza niepodległość to także możliwość i umiejętność wykorzystywania szans, które stawia przed nami współczesność” – podkreślił, wskazując na sukces gospodarczy Polski po 1989 roku i rosnącą rolę kraju na arenie międzynarodowej.
Zwracając się do żołnierzy, funkcjonariuszy i generałów Wojska Polskiego, Prezydent wyraził wdzięczność za ich codzienną służbę i podkreślił, że „polski żołnierz i funkcjonariusz to świętość”, a naród stoi za nimi z dumą i wdzięcznością.
Na zakończenie Prezydent wyraził wiarę, że Polaków więcej łączy niż dzieli, a wspólna pamięć i miłość do Ojczyzny będą źródłem jedności i siły narodowej.
