London will host an extraordinary cultural and historical event that brings together literature, memory, and identity.
The exhibition “Seven Faces of Sergiusz Piasecki”, prepared by the Institute of National Remembrance, will be presented by the Polish Sue Association during the Authors’ Book Fair in London.
This unique exhibition tells the remarkable story of Sergiusz Piasecki — one of the most fascinating and controversial figures of 20th-century Polish history.

A soldier, intelligence operative, smuggler, prisoner, writer, and uncompromising anti-communist, Piasecki lived many lives, each shaped by dramatic historical upheavals.
A man of many faces – and one powerful voice
The exhibition reveals the complexity of Piasecki’s life, presenting his journey through war, espionage, imprisonment, and literary success.
His most famous works, born out of personal experience, became a testimony of resistance and independence of thought.
Piasecki was not only a witness to history — he was an active participant, often standing at the edge of legality and morality, yet always driven by a fierce sense of patriotism and freedom.
This exhibition, curated by IPN, draws on archival materials from Poland, the United Kingdom, and Lithuania, offering visitors a rare and deeply human perspective on a turbulent era.

A meeting place for the Polish diaspora
The exhibition will be presented as part of the Polish diaspora Authors’ Book Fair, hosted at the iconic White Eagle Club — a historic hub of Polish cultural life in the United Kingdom.
This event gathers authors of contemporary Polish diaspora literature readers and lovers of the written word critics, historians, and cultural commentators
It is more than a book fair — it is a forum of ideas, a space where Poland is discussed, remembered, and reinterpreted through literature.
As the organisers underline:
this is a place for those who “fight with words” — just as Sergiusz Piasecki did.

Opening lecture by Iwona Golińska
The exhibition will be officially inaugurated with a special lecture by Iwona Golińska — founder of the Polish Sue Association, journalist, and leading advocate for preserving Polish heritage in the UK.
