🇬🇧 🇵🇱 Alert for the Polish community! Ilford Park Polish Home may disappear – take action and sign the petition today!

Mr. Jerry Bird has launched a petition regarding the future of Ilford Park Polish Home – the last Polish care home of its kind in the UK. This unique place has been providing care to Polish veterans and their families for years.

Due to the drastically decreasing number of residents, there is a risk that admissions to the facility will be suspended as early as next fall. The home’s management is trying to reach as many veterans and people eligible to live in Ilford Park as possible, who are often unaware of the facility’s existence. That’s why we have also joined the information campaign.

The public consultation ended on June 6th, but the fight for the future of Ilford Park continues. The more Polish organizations, associations, and individuals express their support for preserving this facility, the greater the chance of saving it or at least extending its operation.

The Polish Sue Association has already signed the petition and is actively disseminating information about this initiative.

📢 We need 10,000 signatures for the British government to officially respond to the petition!

📊 As of today, 7,210 people have already signed the petition, but we are still nearly 3,000 signatures short of reaching our first major milestone.

✅ 10,000 signatures – the UK government must officially respond to the petition.

✅ 100,000 signatures – the petition will be considered for debate in Parliament.

📅 The petition was published on May 27, 2026, and will remain open until November 27, 2026.
